Third Photo Assignment: Third Rule

                                                                                                  Karthik Palakkattil
                                                                                                          Period 1

This is a picture of Gurbaaz Brar standing by the left side of lockers during first period at the E-Wing in Mission San Jose High School. I had used the Rule of Background in this picture, because in the background, there is his shadow. Also, the texture of the wall is easily visible, and the locker with the lock attached is also part of the background.

This is a picture of Brian standing at the top of a concrete staircase at Mission San Jose High School during first period on a rainy morning on Thursday, September 25th, 2014. The rule of photography used in this picture is the Rule of Depth. This is because it shows the depth of the staircase and all the slopes. It even shows the slope of the basketball court and the grassy field in the background.

This is a picture of Rudy Estrada standing on a concrete walkway between the quad and the E-Wing of Mission San Jose High School during first period. I had used the rule of thirds in this case, because the dirt on the left is one third of the ground, the concrete walkway he is standing on is another third of the ground, and the area with plants on the ground is the other third in this picture.

Three Rules of Photography Composition: Rule of Background, Rule of Depth, and Rule of Thirds.
